He's back!

Daddy's back!  After going out of town for a while, my hubby was anxious to come with me to pick up the kids from school.  Back to his old ways, he quickly fell asleep in the car :)

Long weekend...

Well, Labor Day weekend is upon us and what does a long weekend at home mean?  Lots of napping, of course.

Time for another vintage sleeping husband shot from earlier this year.  I know this looks bad but I think he was icing his wrist when he fell asleep and then one of the boys came by and was playing with the ace wrap.  Of course, he managed to sleep through all of it :)

Yes, the impossible has occurred in our household.  All the stars and planets have aligned and ALL the boys in the house are napping at the same time :)  His nap featured several positions today.  I thought I would capture them for you all to enjoy.

This is a flash back to when Aaron was just a newborn and exhausted daddy was napping with him.  I love this one!

Of course, he also power naps in the car!  Luckily for him I get easily motion sick unless I'm driving so he gets to take advantage of this a lot.

Cactus

This is one of my favorite napping positions of his.  Love the arms up in a cactus formation with legs propped up - he says it's for back support.  The kids don't really seem too bothered by daddy's napping... probably because it happens so often :)

If you look carefully, this picture was taken on the same day as the one featured in Friday's post.  I believe at one point he woke up briefly and moved to the floor to be more comfortable.

Sleeping potty

Here's one from this past winter.  This was a very common scene in our house.  The boys liked to use potty time as an excuse to get out of bed after bedtime.  Daddy was clearly pretty tired of this routine.

Is Daddy OK?

This picture was taken as my husband was in the process of setting up new alarm clocks for the boys.  As you can see, he is still holding one of them in his hand when he fell asleep.  Alex is not sure what to do as I'm pretty sure Daddy fell asleep mid sentence...

My husband likes to ask me why I don't take naps.  Well, this is the reason.  SOMEBODY needs to be awake.  Luckily little Aaron is not chewing on an electrical cord!

Another classic!

This is definitely one of my all time favorites as well.  Notice that he has finished with dinner and decided to not even bother leaving the table before proceeding to "power nap".  (I like to use quotes for his so-called "power naps" because they can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours.  I don't really think a 2 hour nap can be a "power nap".)  I especially like how his shirt is bunching around his belly to give him a 2nd trimester pregnancy look.  (He is normally a work-out-ahollic and in pretty good shape, so this pic is especially funny!)  Enjoy!

This is one of my personal favorites!  Pictured above is my sleeping husband pretending to be awake with his headphones and iPad while my 90 year old grandma is awake and enjoying a bowl of ice cream.  Notice his fuzzy slippers!  Hilarious!
